Quarterly Gatherings
Beginning in January 2024, Chief Dixon Pheasant wanted a more inclusive way for tribal members of all ages to gather together outside of the General Council meeting in May and the annual Pow-wow in September; to redevelop the spiritual connectedness of the tribe as a whole.
These Quarterly Gatherings of Ottawa tribal members help to celebrate the history and culture of the tribe, generally occurring in January, April, July and October.
Through these gatherings, individuals get to participate in games, social events, and cultural activities while sharing in language development and spiritual soothing. Past activities have included: frybread making, Indian dice, language bingo, and cake walks.
Except for the July Language Camp, Quarterly Gatherings are held at the Longhouse, located on the Ottawa Tribe Powwow Grounds
